No eviction drive in Burrabazar & College Street, clarifies KMC Commissioner
Former Mokama MLA Anant Singh met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at the CM’s residence on Saturday. The meeting lasted around 15 minutes and was Singh’s first with the Chief Minister since his release from Beur jail. After the meeting, Singh left without addressing the media.
Anant Singh has already announced his decision to contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections from Mokama on a JD(U) ticket. During the meeting, political sources said Singh expressed his intent to officially represent JD(U) in the election. Singh had earlier stated, “I will contest from Mokama on Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) ticket.”
Singh also made strong remarks regarding the election outcome, claiming that if fielded against Tejashwi Yadav, he would get the RJD leader’s bail canceled. He predicted that the RJD would be limited to just 15 seats in the upcoming polls and asserted that Nitish Kumar would once again become the Chief Minister of Bihar.
